Full time workers are paid too little for too much work. You get an hour for lunch, but everyone works through it. You are also expected to work 4 hours on the weekend, which is defined as Friday, Saturday or Sunday. I always ended up working longer as I also taught.
Teachers are paid a disgustingly low wage- $10-12 dollars an hour for teachers with teachers licenses and Master's degrees. ACT/SAT teachers got paid $13 and up, but only had B.A.s or B.S's. They were charging upwards of $80 dollars an hour for tutoring.
Most of the summer and pretty much every holiday was blacked out for vacation. They thought we should have 'summer camp' for students. Most of our students went to real camp, outside, in nature. Also expected people to come in to teach during massive snow storms.
No lunch breaks for teachers.
