Meh, a lot of changes. Some not good

Pros

In my department, we prioritize a positive work culture and a healthy work-life balance.

Cons

The pay is decent, but many positions have been outsourced or offshored. While this may sound good on paper, the reality is often disappointing. It creates more challenges for those who remain at the corporate office.

Pros

401k match was all I could see as a plus.

Cons

Warning: Avoid this toxic workplace at all costs. The environment is atrocious from top to bottom, with a unit in disarray and management completely out of touch. The non-union setup enables the company to treat production technicians with disdain, fostering a culture where colleagues mistreat each other badly. The company's priorities are seriously questionable, particularly in their promotion of unqualified individuals. A prime example is Christy Blanchard's ascension to plant manager, despite her subordinate Tessie Pope causing a mass exodus in MDI-1 and MDI-2 during my tenure. Units like MDI-1, MDI-2, and reductions are notoriously miserable, and working there is a recipe for disaster. While some areas like Polyols and New Aniline might be tolerable, the overall experience is marred by unrealistic expectations, such as manual loading of trucks and rail cars – a task typically outsourced. The health risks associated with working here are alarming, with exposure to aniline, phosgene, and MDI posing serious threats to your well-being. The meager benefits, including a decent 401k match and inadequate vacation time, are insufficient compensation for the toll this job takes on your mental and physical health. In conclusion, steer clear of this plant. They will exploit and exhaust you, with little regard for your well-being. Your health, sanity, and dignity are worth more than any paycheck."
