Low stress atmosphere. Not much micro managing. Great location and decent pay, benefits.

Cons

Pay could be much better. Promotions don't happen as promised.

Engineer - Rubicon has small town feel with the backing of a large chemical company (Huntsman)

Pros

Great people/co-workers, top tier pay w/ overtime for engineers, good/great benefits, close to New Orleans and Baton Rouge, operators know and run the plants well, excellent project opportunities, an appropriate amount of red tape

Cons

Some operators are bitter about being overworked - especially in turnarounds, nothing else I can think of is really a con. Because the culture and pay are so good, not too many people leave, which leads to fewer career opportunities than other chemical companies.

Salary, bonus, flexible working. The company tries hard but really is only concerned with the generation of profit at the expense of employees lives and futures.

Cons

Lack of training, career development and succession management. Despite numerous progress reviews and being told above average or in the talent bank nothing is really done.
