      Great People, Intense Work

      Pros

      Colleagues at Huron are great. Almost everyone is highly intelligent and team oriented, it's not about placing blame but about solving problems and making the right long term decision the client. The work is often intense but usually interesting, each client is different with different issues to investigate and resolve. Plenty of opportunity for growth once you know the basics.

      Cons

      Consulting intensity. To maintain margins projects are sometimes understaffed("lean") leading to very intense periods early on to meet constantly optimistic deadlines. Burnout is a real risk.

      Pros

      I believe Huron's deep industry focus in industries that are experiencing rapid change is compelling. The culture at Huron is collaborative and consultants and leaders take a great deal of pride in what they do.

      Cons

      Expecations are high, so as long as you are a top performer you will do well here.

      Pros

      Good people, everyone was smart and polite to me. The work was interesting and I did enjoy some of my time there.

      Cons

      I was overworked despite being told to work 40 hours and only paid for 40 I was given enough work to last 60+ a week. I left the internship feeling very unappreciated for the work I did. Do not be an intern in any location other then Chicago as they only care about those interns.
