Pros

Its mon to friday and always leave early on a friday by 2 hour's you get around christmas off and bank hoilidays theres 1 day a year where you will get a lunch paid on company dime its decent not the best but not the worst you get paid a rotation shift bonus

Cons

Everything is held together by duct tape, ie machines and tools always breaking or not working than questioned why production is low. rotation shifts in order 6-14, 22-6, 14 - 22 poor optimisation for sleeping parterns going from earlys to late nackers up your weakend and first shift in is alway a rough one. quality and cleaness is not consitent across shifts parts left about for another shift to clean up or hidden no accountbilty for the people responsible only to result in a hectic clean for when a inspection occurs Silly and time consuming work procedure's you have to label every fality part which is a lot and give a description on whats the problem aswell you will have to order parts for your job but you have to spend 10 to 20mins just to find someone to take your parts check list off you only to wait a hour to get the parts and not told that your low or missing vital parts for a valve when your mid production which is typlcally found out when you have to spend another 10 or 20 min finding the parts supplyer to ask whats going on not when they delivered your parts. no accurate communication between shifts quite often will be told to work on a job only to find out it wasent needed to be worked on or theres a priorty that needed doing, valves that had major issue's left with no note or no info on the problem so you have no idea what's the issue to fix Management only care for results not problems they talk about quality of work but have issue when production has slowed down or your numbers is not as high as another shift without asking what slowed you down or what have you done as well as unrelaistic expectations on the minmum of vales needed to made that day with the poor maintence on the equipment and machines. overtime is hard to get and always given to the same people most people abuse it and do nothing as there no managers to watch them you dont get your shift bonus dispite working an extra day as you must work a 8 hour day not 4 or 6 hours no flexibilty and must always work a 6 to 14 which makes it hard for those coming off a arkward shift pattern
