Pros

* They treat you well (when the oil price is high) * scheduling vacation isn't much of a problem

Cons

* The CIO loves his ego stroked by sycophants. Literally has his direct reports praise his leadership at the start of large meetings * Most long serving employees have the survival strategy of don't gather attention, so getting "champions" is very difficult * contractors do all the work, employees "lead" * they happily lay teams and people off at any opportunity * they proudly pay below average wages (for both employees and contractors) and it shows

Pros

If Partner Company is good company, then you are in good hand. Heavily involved in every aspects of company, doesnt rely much on expatriates from Headquarter.

Cons

If your partner is bad, shareholder didn't want to fight as hard as possible for increasing the wage (for instance)
