Pros

Great benefits, very good wages. Husky is a very safety orientated company. They treat their employees very well but do expect you to be accountable for your job

Cons

12 hour swing shifts. Long days. They use a contractor to administer employee absents.

Pros

Nice people, Calgary is a great place to live and work. If your expertise is in upstream, the field offices are what you might expect, nothing more or less.

Cons

No vision or strategy, leading to no accountability and less results. Husky continues to exist for one reason only, "it is better to own a poorly run oil company than any other poorly run company." So the single largest investor takes cash out in the form of dividends and sweetheart contracts; limiting re-investment in assets and people.
