Cons Assembly Floor: Incredible pressure. At lot, a lot, of hours and unpredictable overtime, sometimes weekends. 16-hour days sometimes happen. Shortly after, you are forced into a furlough day with no pay. Sometimes you work until 11pm then have to be at work at 6am the next day. I am surprised no one has fallen asleep at the wheel on their way home. Engineering is not as strong as they should be, and this creates a lot of crisis-oriented work. It is very hot in the factory 3 months of the year.
Cons Office: This place is run like an insane asylum. Once upon a time, an office person was awarded “Employee of the Month” for extra hours put into a certain order, and two months later they were fired because of all the mistakes they made. Management gives the absolute minimum amount of time to get work done, then they blame you if it’s not perfect. For your yearly goals, they assign you certain metrics, but you have to work on other things. Then at the end of the year you get a bad review and a poor raise. At this place, expect not much more of a raise than inflation.
