Pros

Really flexible schedules if you need something off. Great for students. Health insurance is really great. If your store makes money there’s a profit sharing based on your pay and hours worked that quarter (avg about 1000-1200 over a year for me at my store).

Cons

You work every weekend and holidays too you don’t ask off. Management is all about cutting hours and trying to move themselves up the corporate ladder where the money is. Company really use to take care of their stores but now it’s all about cutting hours and early retirements for those who make too much. Grocery business is hard though but HyVee doesn’t really seem to know how to change with the times.

Pros

You can work the hours that you want and you do not have to work the hours that you don't want to.

Cons

Sometimes you are only scheduled for 3 hours a week. Only about a quarter over minimum wage. No extra pay for holidays. Very, very few full time positions.
