Pros

Hy-Vee has good benefits and a bonus program that allows both full and part time employees a bonus check. It is a staple in the midwest grocery market and draws a good following.

Cons

It is a large company and sometimes can seemingly take a long time to implement an obvious change. There seems to be a lack of desire to stand out from other stores based on the worry that it will fail, when it should worry about how well the local store will succeed.

Pros

Enjoyable & fun place to work. Ability to set your own schedule and focus on your areas of interest. Minimal micro-managing from upper management.

Cons

Salary is blow average for the competitive dietetics field when compared to hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, etc. Paid Time Off is minimal, unless you've worked for the company for at least 8 years and Maternity time off is not great either.
