      Pros

      Flexible scheduling. Tight knit group of coworkers on my shifts. Opportunity to advance in company (especially for students in college - take advantage of this and you may find a good future career!). I really learned how to serve the customer at Hy-Vee.

      Cons

      Sometimes shift managers were not understanding or had very different expectations of the employees. A lot of turnover.

      Pay is alright OK hours Mostly fun workers

      Cons

      Doesn't pay time and a half on holidays, their claim to why they don't, "we're retail" every other retail stores offer time and a half on holidays. Upper management sucks. Overly critical and uptight. Store director seems to be the only nice one. Cutting hours of part time employees b/c they don't want to pay insurance or benifits for them. Averaged 35 hrs or so since our store opened, know my manager is changing our hours down to 25 b/c of the healthcare law changing.
