Pros

Good starting salary and you get to keep tips. Relatively easy job if co-workers want to work as a team.

Cons

Understaffed, have to run the entire MarketGrille alone if employees don't want to work. Poor scheduling by management. Don't advertise so a lot of people don't know about the restaurant still.

Pros

Good introductory company for job seekers; there's lots of young faces, and the employees have a strong connection with one another that makes it feel like a solid work family. There's LOTS of opportunity to move up within the company; they focus specifically on promoting from within. If you're looking to start somewhere and move up into management, they're a great choice. Competitive salary for entry-level positions.

Cons

Each store is run by their own store manager, and if you aren't lucky enough to get a store manager that cares, or who promotes and hires good department heads and middle management, it's extremely frustrating. There were so many issues within the bakery I worked that we consistently brought, as a department, over and over all the way up to the store director level, that we were promised would be fixed.... that weren't. It led to a lot of boiling anger and helplessness that eventually led to me and a few others within my department turning in papers.

Pros

Co-workers are nice, cafeteria is good and cheap.

Cons

No work-life balance. They keep talking about how you see your co-workers more than your family. Very strict schedule and full-time is 45hrs minimum (but really more like 55+). Company cars for travel break down all the time. Not upfront about hours and travel.
