      Work life balance is amazing, flexibility, great teammates, very modern technology, management listens to technical feedback from devs

      Cons

      Not as great benefits, spotty remote work mentality, lower salary than a lot of SE jobs

      Pros

      Leadership was pleasant, culture is not bad, and some new tech

      Cons

      TONS of legacy, people leaving make it hard to innovate quickly. The lure of the campus hides the fact that it's a legacy corporation trying desperately to keep up with the industry. Doesn't seem you can advance high up in the company without 20 years of grocery experiance. Grocery > Tech here.

      Pros

      Nice co-workers for the most part. Benefits, including 401k , available for all. Department managers are wonderful for the most part.

      Cons

      Low pay in comparison to other retailers. Wildly swinging hours...no hours some weeks, beaucoup hours the next. Store directors ALWAYS wanting to cut hours to the store's detriment. Unrealistic expectations....not enough employees to efficiently do all of the necessary work. Rare for full/regular time positions to open. Part time is where it's at for Hy-Vee. Miniscule raises if you're fortunate enough to get one despite the company's rosy financial picture.
