Pros

A great company to work for. Most management takes a genuine interest in the livelihood of their employees.

Cons

If you're unfortunate enough to have a poor store director, you will have a poor experience. Consider transfering as opposed to quitting- the company itself is great. Certain directors... not so much

Unorganized yet somehow successful.

Pros

Hy-Vee is very flexible with schedule, decent discount in store. Benefits are there if your atore makes it/you sign up for them.

Cons

Your training will be virtually non-existent. You will be thrown straight into working like you've been there for a year after about a week or even days. The managers are unorganized and the hierarchy is down right confusing and unnecessary. Pay is ok at best and work morale is low at best. Company policy is also not great for employees.

Pros

Somewhat flexible hours, autonomy, benefits, 401k etc

Cons

They don't care or at least don't show it often. Hours vary and can wreak havoc on your work/life balance
