Overall not bad

Pros

The work is not very difficult, and you know what to expect each day.

Cons

The wages are not great, and some store directors intentionally don't give raises to long-time employees to keep costs down while hiring new employees for more than long-time employees make.

Pros

Pay was good and the checks always cleared, Hy-Vee would try new things in order to catch up to the emerging market opportunities

Cons

Hy-Vee has a real tribal knowledge loss problem. They can't seem to keep staff there longer than a couple of years, and when upper management turns over, they clean house with no regards to keeping systems working.
