Pros

They give associates twelve free room nights a year. They also provide discounted room nights. Most hotels provide meals. A lot of opportunity to move into different departments

Cons

Pay scale is on the lower side. Need to move around a lot in order to move up within the company.

Pros

Above average rate of promotability, most promotions came from internal canidates which gave entry level management opportunities.

Cons

Compensation below competition, getting promotions often includes having to relocate, ability to recruit good employees is poor, management trainees often would not last more than two years before leaving the company. Focus is all about cutting costs, never about increasing food quality or service standards. When efforts to increase standards are implimented, when the slow summer months arrive there are always knee jerk reactions to cutting more costs even when the result will be lower standards.
