No real advancement for contractors

Work from home and pay is decent. Depending what division you have a chance for advancement and a possible career here.

Cons

No real advancement. As a contractor to IBM after my Manager who was an IBMer for many years with IBM tried to get me hired directly he finally gave up as he tried for the first few years but it seems once IBM hired you as a contractor they do not want to spend the extra money for benefits if they can you to do that job without paying for them. Since I was stuck with no chance for advancement or a possible career with them that was the straw that broke the camel back for me.
