Pros
- good holiday entitlement that grows the longer you spend there - managers who are understanding about commitments outside work etc and not too demanding - very flexible work day. can come in at 10 or 11. - managers leave you to get on with your work without micromanaging. - some great tech people, who can be very inspriing to work with - good tech talks (occasionally) and other visiting talkers who are usually interesting - many opportunities for training, which management are supportive of. courses available in both technical (programming languages, etc) and non-technical disciplines (British Sign Language, presentation skills etc).
Cons
- lack of benefits - no free food (yes, a major problem!) - not much communication with upper management - more tech talks would be very nice
