Lack of innovation due to constant cost cutting (including benefit cuts like 401k restructuring and layoff package no longer based on years with company, layoffs, lack of travel for development teams)

Benefits are great. If you're willing to travel and keep up with the demand to have your billing percentage up you'll gain a lot of valuable experience. There's always room to learn new skills and apply them in a project.

Cons

Long hours depending on the assignment. Travel can wear you out, so look for opportunities within IBM to remain valuable and be billable. Depending on your assignment, work-life balance may not equate.
