Switching from IBM to a competitor was a bad move.

Pros

A stress-free work environment with a friendly team and great, supportive American managers. The company's name on your resume is a big plus when applying to other companies.

Cons

The salaries were not very competitive. Work on projects took too long, and projects were often shut down and never implemented (due to decisions made at higher levels), which could be frustrating
