Pros

IBM is forefront in adopting new technologies and practises. Even with the size, they have the capability to operate like a startup

Cons

While the work part of aligning like a start up is very good, its not the same on the renumeration front. This makes it challenging to retain as well as hire folks with relevant skills.

- people - opportunities to move within IBM

Cons

- salaries are low. money for raises is only there if you have another offer in hand - technical debt. lots of baggage from products being around for decades
