Pros

IBM is a great first job out of college with a solid starting salary and benefits. No other company, that I’m aware of, pays you to go to “sales school” for six months before joining a team at IBM.

Cons

Easy to get lost in a big company but not much other than that.

Pros

There are incredible people - both young and old - here who really care about the success of new hires and clients and the general progress/change of the "old" IBM to the "new". There has always been an ethical leadership aspect to the culture and history of IBM - granted, it's still big corp, but it's clear to me that ethics and security is important to the cloud sales team. There's a wealth of knowledge, resources, and help that the company is willing to invest in the employees. A great starting point for any career to learn about/get exposed to what else is out there while getting advice from both young and old connections in almost any industry.

Cons

Very large company - a lot of moving parts. Slow-moving bureaucracy - official decisions takes a while to solidify and then will change shortly after solidification.
