Pros

You get a pay check, and your schedule can be extraordinarily flexible, which can be very valuable to some people.

Cons

You're really more of a product than an employee. Based on the policies I've seen in the last two years, mid 2017 to 2019, they will attempt to pay you the bare minimum to get people on staff and keep them.
