Pros

Flexible schedule and the wonderful students

Cons

Horrible management. Horrible horrible. The management in Colorado Springs was highly inexperienced and the mismanagement continued from there. Just a really bad experience for me and for many students.

Dear former Instructor, We appreciate you taking the time to leave a review of your experience at IBMC College. It’s great to hear that our flexible scheduling was helpful to you, and we are happy to hear you developed positive relationships with our students. Still, we’re disappointed to hear you felt disgruntled with the management at our Colorado Springs campus, and we would be interested in hearing about the specific issues you and your students experienced. It’s important that every individual among of our staff, faculty and students feels welcome, respected and content at IBMC College. As you know, it is not in the best interest of our students or our employees to experience tension or disorder, so we urge you to please contact HR@ibmc.edu to elaborate on your grievances. The closure of our Colorado Springs campus was a difficult decision, but it was necessary for preserving the integrity and longevity of the remaining campuses. With exceptionally high market saturation for career training programs in the Colorado Springs region, enrollment has declined while operational costs have increased in recent years. Additionally, the process of transitioning our accreditation from one accrediting body to another has stalled our ability to submit and offer new programs in the market. Though our institution will have left the area, our students will not be left behind. We have committed to working with other Colorado Springs career training colleges to provide students with the opportunity to complete their education and continue their paths toward rewarding careers. Again, we appreciate your feedback, and we thank you for your work as a member of the IBMC family. We wish you the best of luck in your future as an educator, and we hope that you will contact us to tell us more about your experiences so we may make improvements to our college. Sincerely, Team IBMC College

Pros

Being able to make a difference in people's lives by making their dreams a reality. Watching the students get excited over learning new skills. Being personally thanked for making a difference in a students life by investing time, and pushing them to believe in themselves.

Cons

Being told to pass along the students even if they couldn't take a correct blood pressure or vital signs. Regardless of how many class hours or extra time you would spend with them. Some people just are not cut out for certain jobs or careers. As an instructor we should have been given more respect in knowing what is better for the community and the student. Going the extra mile and never getting recognized for it. BIGGEST CON - Being fired for not passing a student for plagiarizing a paper and the inability to take vitals after 4 clinical hands on classes.

Dear former Instructor, It is always challenging for both parties when an individual is terminated, regardless of the reasoning. Still, we appreciate the work that you have done as a member of the college’s faculty, and we’re glad to hear that you enjoyed your time working to help change our students’ lives for the better. IBMC College adheres to strict guidelines regarding educational standards, so the situation you describe is somewhat perplexing. We would never allow a student to complete one of our medical programs—or any other—without having met the state and accreditation-mandated requirements. That is simply not the way that our institution operates. It is important to us that all staff, faculty and students are treated with the respect and appreciation, so we’re saddened to hear you felt as though you were given less than you deserved. Please contact our HR@ibmc.edu with any questions or comments regarding your employment and/or termination from IBMC College. We wish you the best of luck, and thank you for taking the time to contribute much-valued feedback. Sincerely, Team IBMC College
