Pros

I worked with good people that wanted the business to be successful. Everyone worked hard and were supportive. They took on important projects and had an eye for the future.

Cons

The CEO (family member) had favorites so it was difficult to receive fair treatment or move up in the business. If your goal is to grow in a key position, you'll want to get into the "boys" club. Many of the men vacation, golf, and play poker together. Also, Amazon is a big competitor so I'm not sure how much longer the business will be around.

Pros

Ownership is active and engaged with workers

Cons

My boss decided she didn't like me, accused me of being on substances while at work. I said that wasn't true. I was told I could be sent to a lab to see the last time I had alcohol or whatever else I was being accused of. I said that was fine because I was innocent. Realizing she had picked a loser in ways to get rid of me. The very next week I was given a "Counseling Statement" because I had left the office at lunch and worked from home for the rest of the day - which had until then had been acceptable. I was given things to improve upon: Not leaving the office without telling someone, doing Salesforce training modules, etc. I did 56 Salesforce training modules in a week and only worked in the office one day since the "counseling statement" and I did not leave on that day. And then the very next week, I was fired for being too quiet but the separation letter cited a harassment policy. I asked who I had harassed and was told "That's just something HR puts on there" and it didn't mean anything. TLDR: My manager decided she wanted to fire me and then went looking for a justification for it. She couldn't find a real reason so she made some stuff up and fired me with no reason. NO OTHER PERSON IN THE WHOLE COMPANY TALKED TO ME DURING THIS.
