Pros

Good insurance for you and your families.

Cons

Only care about you “bleeding green” and are willing to make you cancel your already accepted PTO requests for useless mandatory personal development days

Almost too focused on culture

Pros

ICCU values their employees and spends a lot of time, money and various other resources ensuring their happiness and overall well being... but it's not always as grand as it seems.

Cons

This becomes a problem though with individuality, differing views, and modern business operations. It really just depends on how willing you are to "drink the kool-aid" in order to advance through the hierarchy. Additionally in order to keep the "culture" they refuse to adapt to a work from home, or at the very least, a hybrid work model for all of the departments capable of the modern work experience. They have been "testing" it for almost four years now talking in circles and providing now real updates or efforts towards employee accommodation.

Pros

The culture is amazing and the people are as well. They truly strive to live by their mission statement in helping members achieve financial success and are very supportive in their communities. The executive team truly cares for the employees as well.

Cons

I would recommend ICCU to anyone but with that being said, I believe that talent + (an assessment used to measure your strengths and weaknesses) should not be the end all be all. Unfortunately, I’ve seen fantastic employees leave because their talents don’t align with certain roles within the Credit Union. I know of many people whose talents don’t “align” according to the assessment who would have done a better job than others whose talents do align.
