      Pros

      The culture is amazing and the people are as well. They truly strive to live by their mission statement in helping members achieve financial success and are very supportive in their communities. The executive team truly cares for the employees as well.

      Cons

      I would recommend ICCU to anyone but with that being said, I believe that talent + (an assessment used to measure your strengths and weaknesses) should not be the end all be all. Unfortunately, I’ve seen fantastic employees leave because their talents don’t align with certain roles within the Credit Union. I know of many people whose talents don’t “align” according to the assessment who would have done a better job than others whose talents do align.

      Pros

      Direct managers are supportive and this is an amazing job through several walks of life (student, adult, parent). Execs and managers are constantly looking at ways to improve the lives of their employees. I feel taken care of here.

      Cons

      Working in a branch can feel like getting the short end of the stick sometimes. You are not allowed to express individuality in many ways. Inconsistency between managers and what they allow their employees to look like, and nothing concrete is written down in the employee handbook. Most desirable positions are housed in Pocatello, even though we continue to grow in the treasure valley and other areas in Idaho and Washington.

      ICCU provides a very positive environment, as the company has grown over the years it has been able to hold strong to its core values.
