I work with a smaller team, but overall the culture of the entire credit union is amazing. There is a sense of caring and investment between almost everyone. The benefits are also a huge perk.

Cons

Branch hours can be hard to work out a home-work balance.

Excellent benefits such as insurance, holidays, etc. Good experience with systems and programs, learned a lot. Gifts every summer and Christmas

Cons

IT needs to clean up their practices. Micromanaging and distrust of employees by management. Favoritism of some employees over others resulting in not the same treatment and expectations of them. Time tracking is the king and if you aren’t tracking 7 out of 8 hours (your free time is meetings you are required to be at). My manager in particular would chose one employee to pick at until they left resulting in high turnover for that particular manager that upper management seems to turn their heads to. It’s funny how you leave and then you are a rockstar at the next place you go but for them nothing is good enough. They have meetings on accomplishments but it is more of a backhanded compliment.
