Pros

Depending on management, ICF is pretty flexible. If you are interested in Energy, Environment, Govt Contracts, this is the perfect place for you.

Cons

They are not very diverse, as far as junior to senior managment is concerned. They often acquire companies and do not have the capicity in place for a smooth transition for newly acquired companies and employees.

Pros

ICF encourages telework (but many of their clients don't) and is environmentally aware

Cons

Policies and procedures changed constantly in order to save the company money and shaft the employees. ICF is rigid in it's review cycle and generally refuses to provide reviews except on their schedule. Agreements for salary increases due to security clearance increases were reneged on due to "organizational changes". ICF is one of the only consulting companies I've seen that doesn't allow for a 2-week pay period to let you flex your hours w/in a 2 week window.

Pros

Good work and honest hard working people who believe in the work they are doing. People join ICF at all levels not for the compensation, but for the opportunity to engage in work that matters, both for government and non-profits. This dynamic will often lead (as it did for me) to individuals who are happy with the work but feel generally under compensated.

Cons

Compensation and miss communication between Sr. Management and Jr. Staff. There is very little interaction between the various business units in the company which in turn leads to a siloed environment. Also, HQ in VA makes for a difficult commute for the majority of employees who live within the District.
