My supervisor was almost always unavailable and provided very little guidance/support. Get ready to do occasional overtime without any compensation (i.e. pay or time-off). During first year of employment you get only few days paid leave

Decent work life balance if you are not bidding. Work with colleagues that are passionate about climate.

Cons

ICF operates with a rigid hierarchical structure, offering very limited growth opportunities. While the head of my area was highly intelligent, his lack of communication skills and poor people management made leadership ineffective. Diversity exists at junior levels, but it diminishes significantly higher up. Compensation and benefits are notably below industry standards, making it a less competitive option compared to similar firms.
