It can be difficult to make moves to other projects or other lines of business. The rate of salary increases is fair but rigid and slow. You may find yourself doing work well beyond your pay grade but not being paid for it. While resources for growth is a pro, growth is limited because everyone is pretty much on the same promotion track (timeline+responsibilities met) and receives roughly the same percentage of raises. The pay is extremely low for the DC Metro region and not competitive. Contract work comes and goes so you jump to other contracts after one ends or your role is no longer needed so it doesn't feel fully stable in that way.
