      No work life balance, no respect for people PTO, bad project planning

      Pros

      I worked with some great coworkers. Potential projects that could change people life. Flexible hours and location.

      Cons

      Where do I start. Work life balance is definitely ignored. Software engineers and QA are often overworked and had to work extra hours very regularly. Projects planning is not good and not up to standard, considering how important our mission is. Many people left including myself because we're tired of the promise of change from upper management. The pay is also not competitive considering how hard we work and how many times we're guilt tripped into delaying our time-off. The company hire so many contractors with so-so skills from oversea instead of investing in an internship program to offer local students a chance to learn and succeed. If you have very little experience, it's a so so place to start. If you got 2-3 years of experience or more, save your time and energy- start somewhere else.

      Pros

      - I've never had a company care so much about seeing me grow professionally. When I was hired on they talked about opportunities for professional development but I think a lot of companies talk about that and it goes nowhere. Not the case with ICON, I've been here a little over a year and I've gotten two promotions (with significant salary increases). - The benefits and PTO are all great. This is my first post-college job and I feel like I hit the jackpot. Truly couldn't be happier.

      Cons

      I found that working in the office could be a little isolating but I think that intra-office relationships have just been very challenging to foster.
