Pros

ICON was a decent company to work for, at least before the PRA integration/merger (l left before that, so cannot speak to it). They had annual xmas bash in Dublin (nice social).

Cons

Xmas do's stopped during pandemic, not sure if they brought them back.

Pros

My line manager was fantastic. Whatever projects I wanted to work on, she figured out a way to put me on them. I really grew as a CRA at ICON. The pay is better than my previous company and generally better compared to other CROs.

Cons

They had a minimum of 8 visits per month for multi-sponsor, which was too much travel for me. The social aspect is lacking. As a CRA, I was working from home or traveling to sites, and I felt very disconnected from my colleagues.

Pros

My team was great and I had a good manager

Cons

It was 100% homebased which for me is negative because I value interactions with the team.
