Idea public schools is a great opportunity for new teachers with little experience. They will help you develop your skills as an educator with little to no experience.

Cons

Teacher autonomy is almost non existent. They load you with unrealistic expectations that do not account for work life balance.

Support from campus APIs is phenomenal. Opportunities for stipends and bonuses through TCP and TIA

Cons

"Too many chiefs"-- you know the saying. Minimum grades are required so it is hard to retain students who need retention since grades show they are competent. And since student literacy rates are low this impacts the teacher's ability to advance in TIA and TCP (through the district]. Lesson plan expectations are sometimes seemingly impossible and are very tedious which leads to burnout. Curriculum change is coming so hopefully this will help.
