Pros

Really great benefits, and year after year IDX continues to give more and more back to its employees including stock options, matching 401k, and incredible healthcare coverage which have skyrocketed in price the last couple of years but IDX keeps absorbing the cost increase instead of passing it along to its employees.

Cons

There have been some great strides in the last couple of years, but I'd love to see the company continue to invest more in the user experience of our platform.

Pros

Great breakfasts on Friday's, Most of the employees were wonderful to work with, Fair pay considering your job duties

Cons

Management makes it seem that they are fostering a inclusive environment and bullying is not tolerated, however you quickly find out that is the opposite of the atmosphere Employees are told there are ways to move up, however you have to be willing to throw other employees under the bus to do so Finding mistakes other employees have made (even if it was due to poor training) is reported often to management by three key employees and acted upon without further research of the situation Employees are trained one way by a very agressive, angry, "supervisor" and then you get coached on it for doing the wrong thing as soon as you start taking calls on your own If a client calls in and they want something that is not offered and should not be done, you are told to do it anyway, and if the client still complains you get reprimanded or fired without explanation The member services team is to be "busy" and quiet at all times, however all other teams in the building are permitted to walk about and talk about personal things throughout the day including very inappropriate sexist jokes The only people who move up in the company are the bullies and "cool kids", it doesn't matter how hard you work you will not move up in this company on less you are willing to step on someone else

Company is in Big Trouble

Pros

Friendly work environment. Very good benefits and competitive pay. Helping to solve the unique problems of consumers, clients and companies can be interesting and challenging.

Cons

The company recently lost it's most profitable and longest standing client contract. This client had provided the ongoing revenue needed to keep the company afloat over the years while they attempted to be profitable in other ways. From what I observed, none of these other strategies were successful enough to pay the bills and in many cases the company lost money on these deals. The upper management placed the blame of the loss of this client on the front line staff and middle managers. The real reason behind this lost contract was an indifference by the CEO on the day-to-day operations keeping this client happy. Requests for increases in budget for this area of the company were consistently denied as more money was given to other departments. As a result a majority of the front line staff were let go at the same time the company was acquired for 50K and the angel investors and C-Levels were cashed out generously.
