Pros

Good for freshers and good to be in good projects. They have only few.

Cons

No growth for any exp. people. No growth for growing up the ladder. Need to have influence to get promotion.

Pros

A fair degree of independence and autonomy in terms of daily scheduling and the ability to create your own list of target accounts and prospects.

Cons

Very dysfunctional sales pursuit and sales support process and extremely difficult to get corporate support for deals. Sales and marketing are out of sync and there is no support for innovative or consultative deal-making, even though the brass talks the talk. Having SMEs actually show up for meetings with clients, when they have committed to being there, would be an excellent start. Also having marketing for the U.S. based in the U.S. is critical. You can't 'talk' to St. Louis from Bangalore. Well, you can, but......

Sweatshop mentality and Cover Ups

Pros

A paycheck, even though IGATE is known for paying some of the lowest wages in the industry.

Cons

Managers coming over from India manage as though they are still in a third-world country where they can say and do whatever they want to employees. When an employee files a formal complaint, they are transferred. When an employee files a sexual harassment complaint, it goes "nowhere". Employees are categorized "salaried" so no overtime has to be paid, and "that's the way they pay everyone in India". Promotions are almost impossible, and average raise is 1% annually. Everything is a facade to placate the stockholders and board of directors.
