Witnessed a lot of abuse, everything is swept under the rug
Pros
the people we support/clients are amazing
Cons
Managment is unsupportive and do not provide training, overworks and undervalues employees, especially at the community hub where there are way too many clients and not enough staff. My manager constantly overworked and gaslit me whenever i tried to bring up issues with her. Houses are fine to work in as there are not many clients there. One of the staff here is emotionally abusive to clients and misuse medication. When I told management they did not do much except say that I need a time and date to make a formal complaint. They allow staff to abuse clients and it is shocking to me that they are not fired for doing that. Clients that are physically abusive do not easily get funding for one on one support. The clients and staff are at risk of getting physically injured. I was told that I am making too many reports about incidents and hazards. It seems that management do not care about health and safety as if there is too many reports they lose money. This company does not care if anyone gets hurt they just use and abuse people and care about money. Managers roam around in their fancy skodas and air conditioned offices while staff are left in the heat, cleaning up after everyone, running around doing so much work and not even time to have a lunch break. Modern day slavery. This is the worst place I have ever worked in and this is not even half of the things they have put me though.
