Pros

I get to work remote. They are inclusive

Cons

They are obsessed with thinking that they provide such amazing benefits that they can pay horribly. 10 years ago maybe they did but now they are just in par with other big box benefits. The upper level "decision makers" are obsessed with hitting goal so much that they cut hours to save money then get pissed when customers complain that checkout lines are to long, and they can't find anyone to help them, and the store is a disaster. But refuse to go on the floor to help. The company is a mirage they brow beat into you the 7 ideas that the founder ran the company by, that sound great on paper and people drink the kool-aid by the bucket, however the upper level does not care one bit about the coworkers or the customers until there is an issue then they jump in with suggestions that are so far gone they don't make sense, similar to the goals they set which are so high and unreachable we will never hit goal to get our bonus, but they still get bonus for revenue goals to bottom line savings. So many I don't know where to go next

Pros

Decent benefits Hybrid work schedule

Cons

Can’t speak on IKEA retail, but corporate is a joke. Managers are passive aggressive and micro-managers. Managers talk down to older, POC employees, treating them like they’re incompetent when they’re more experienced and knowledgeable than the manager. No wonder they have so many lawsuits against them. Caused serious physical and mental health issues for me during my time there. HR is useless, you report anything to them and they don’t care at all. It’s a shame of a company. Don’t work here, would give negative stars if I could.

Pros

pros about working here are definitely the coworkers. you'll have a great sense of community with your team. the benefits are also pretty good.

Cons

MANAGEMENT. don't get it twisted. this may be a Swedish company, but they definitely run on American values and fakeness. they do not care about you in the slightest. some managers are good, but the higher ups? do not trust them .. they're only there for money and their own benefit.
