Pros

Great portfolio of products to sell from. Exellent sales training and selling experience. At IKON you will become a true sales professional. Benefits are excellent. Customer want to buy from IKON.

Cons

Senior management is so bent on impressing their management that they have completely forgotten what it takes to sell. Note to senior management. Managing a spreadsheet is not selling. management sees the big pink and purple elephant in the room (horrible processes) and is so bent on delivering the monthly number that they completely ignore it. Ironically eliminating the elephant would siginificantly allow sales to increase.

Pros

Lots of oppotunity to learn and be a better sales person. Incentives and bonuses for acheivement. Being in more control of you income.

Cons

The workplace can be too political especially since the Ricoh takeover. You need to filter out the negative and look after yourself. Not a lot of information is forthcoming so a lot of rumours true and false go around.

Commissons, RICOH points and other incentives are the primary reason to work here. There definitely is a benefit of gaining experience in this industry and moving on to others.

Cons

Very poor management at the local branch level. Management at this level does treat you like just another rep that can be replaced.
