      Great place to work with smart people

      Pros

      - Recent grads are given lots of responsibility much earlier than at other trading firms - Lots of independence and ability to determine your own direction at the company - Good technology - Work with exceptionally smart people so that it is easy to learn from the best within and outside of your job function. A lot of mentoring - Work hard, play hard environment, fast paced and challenging work

      Cons

      - Expectations are high - Work-life balance isn't great. Everyone is passionate about work which can make hours long - The company seems pretty to new to being this size. A lot of the managers seem to be new to people management and learning pieces of it on the job.

      Pros

      Relatively smart and nice colleges, challenging and exciting problems, in the past they used to attract top talent, probably they now shifted to focussing on graduates. If you have nothing to lose, and you have hardly any experience, it's probably a nice place to be.

      Cons

      The former desire to excel in all areas turned into a political nest of wasps, led by a few immature and stalinistic "leaders". IMC never cares about their people in any way. Today you are a celebrated hero, tomorrow you might get laid off without any reason. The management truly turned the Amsterdam office into a graveyard.
