Pros

Working at ING provided good learning opportunities. The company's international and global presence gives the advantage for those seeking for exposure to working and cultures abroad.

Cons

Things move quite slowly at ING. This is sometimes due to the work culture, or decisions require several layers of approval before they can get executed. Many people feel comfortable doing what they always do, making some processes redundant but still remaining as "that's how its always been".

Pros

Work-life balance is good. My immediate managers treat me with respect. Good benefit package. The Dutch have an open management style and anyone can approach senior managers directly.

Cons

ING are reviewing their bank-assurance model. This means serious upheaval is coming, with efficiencies (and job losses). Labour laws help protect employees in Europe and so other countries are seeing head count reductions.
