      Pros

      - Good opportunities for people early in their careers - Good work/life balance - Strong focus on corporate / social responsibility and ethical business behaviour - Well recognised brand - Career opportunities within the ING Group - Good workforce diversity and friendly work environment

      Cons

      - Flat structure in Australia limits opportunities to get into middle management - Pay is below industry average - High levels of bureaucracy in middle / senior management limits speed to market - Recent takeover of Australian operations by ANZ creating uncertainty

      Pros

      Small team of young and ambitious professionals. Ability to do interesting things from junior positions. Very good team spirit and friendly atmosphere.

      Cons

      The bank does not really look at outside of Benelux and pure commercial banking as a key sector. I.e. as soon as cash stops pouring from everywhere, everything, except the home market becomes extremely low priority.

      I learned a lot working at ING as an internal wholesaler. I was pleased with the salary and additional earning potential

      Pros

      Working at ING provided me great benefits and easy access to increase my learning of the financial industry.

      Cons

      Management changed quite a bit at the office I worked for. I was pleased with the original Branch Manager who always had an open door policy for all employees. The second and third manager seemed to give more preference to sales staff.
