Pros
All the process were very transparent. The organization foster respects for diversity and culture. Benefits such as salary, united nations funds, annual leaves (2.5 per moth), and medical insurance are way better than other institutions, NGOs at the national level.
Cons
The workload was very high all the time, even if the program management proposed activities for the staff, it was very difficult to participate as a supervisor because fo the daily responsibilties. There was not work/life balance for national staff. Staff used to work 8 hours, lunch hour is not paid. Is very commun to see unrespectful treatment from international staff that holds management positions, taking advantage of their power at work. When the mission of El Salvador realesed the staff early (12 pm) because any national holiday, Management of the Resettlement Support Center didn't, they retained the staff to accomplish the daily quota instead of prioritizing staff wellness.
