Getting out of hand

Pros

- many good people to work with - flexibility with doctor appts and working from home if needed, on occasion

Cons

- the workload has gotten out of hand and compensation does not increase with it. you are lucky to get a 2% raise every year, even if you are a good worker. - unrealistic deadlines - upper management simply does not care about its employees. they just keep taking perks away (i.e. summer fridays, no longer have private cubicals, etc) and making more rules without giving anything in return - as a result of above, employee morale is at an all-time low - offshoring many jobs - losing good employees

From Bad To Worse

Pros

Some flexibility in schedules, although make no mistake, you pay for the flexibility in the end.

Cons

I worked for Quintiles for over 10 years, and it used to be a great company to work for. Then, the company pulled their infamous switcharoo - going from private to public - and everything went downhill fast. No concern about quality service or company morale....for now. When the stakeholders pockets are nice and fat, and they go back private, I'm sure it'll be a nice place to work again.

Pros

Possibility of being able to move from this division (IQVIA digital) where nepotism totally dominates to other areas of the company where there is hopefully a better chance of being fairly judged for your own merits and accomplishments vs nepotism and bro back slaps being in play

Cons

There is no diversity in management roles. Only white males bros get hired in and the recent new hires are not impressive or do that much other than going to meetings. Women and minorities only stand some chance if they are willing to agree to everything management wants without challenging the status quo and there is no opportunity for diverse opinions to thrive. If you are a white bro or a woman that is willing to be a “work wife” as one senior management leader called the one woman who has been repeatedly promoted, this is the place for you.
