      IT - too much politics

      Pros

      Work from home and goo IT budgets.

      Cons

      IT is full of politics. Every thing is getting outsourced to India ( actually this company is 10 years behind, in terms of outsourcing. The other companies are coming back to USA, we just have began outsourcing) People from US are asked to report to a manager from India. Manager in India has 50 plus direct reports and several indirect reports.There are no standard rules, each VP has his own policies based on his/her own convenience. Too much money is wasted on custom development. We do the same stuff several times but still does not work.

      Pros

      Dedicated staff producing excellent data products and generally effective health IT solutions. Very competitive benefits and pay.

      Cons

      Difficult achieving organizational synergy across product/services lines as needed to define integrated customer solutions.

      Good company to work for-Clinical Trial Educator

      Pros

      Worked from home 2 to 3 days a week. Great training program. Project lead was very knowledgeable and organized. Absolutely loved my coworkers and we are still friends today!

      Cons

      Extensive air travel which contributed to poor work life balance. Often felt as if the left hand in upper management didn't know what the right hand was doing.
