      Horrible work-life balance. Promotions based upon favoritism, while amazing people for better companies and opportunity.

      Pros

      If you like to work from home and can get a permanent work-from-home position this would be a fit.

      Cons

      Terrible work-life balance. Very little opportunity to advance. Highly underqualified people in leadership roles. The management is horrendous.

      No work life balance, the competent employees are overburdened, since going public the company has consistently decreased benefits that made working for Quintiles worthwhile, upper management is completely out of touch

      Pros

      Contracts with companies can range from 1-3 years and often get renewed (but, there are never any guarantees!) If a contract ends and you have been a valued employee, they will try to find work for you on another project.

      Cons

      You are a contract employee so some companies will not share all the information you need to do your job effectively and efficiently. You hear all the gossip and can get drawn into the politics even though you don't work for the company and it can put you in an uncomfortable position with managers try to get information out of you.
