      Pros

      Name recognition, well-received in the marketplace, truly full service with many opportunities to move around into different functional areas. Prepares you well for a move to another company.

      Cons

      Heavily siloed, absolutely no training, too much trial by fire. Mentors are way too busy to be bothered with providing practical, hands-on training to new hires. Constant crisis mode and always doing damage control with clients.

      Pros

      Executive level is typically populated by people less visionary than able to toe the line on cutting expenses to meet net margin expectations and able to survive politically. Middle and VP tiers of management tends to be excellent, but ability to reward employees and do innovative things are limited due to cost-cutting and other priorities.

      Cons

      IMS has always been about the the share price rather than serving the customer. As pharma continues to implode, IMS continues to reap what they've sown.
