      Good carreer opportunities, but very uneven management.

      Pros

      Very good career opportunities and interesting business areas.

      Cons

      Very bad overview of the management over the whole organisation. Being mainly working in the IT field, I have sometimes the feeling most of the upper management doesn't even know there is an IT department in there. Furthermore some decisions made by the management do not make any sense given the fact they don't know where the technology is taking us this days.

      Pros

      I can only speak about the consulting side. It's a fast paced, exciting place to work. Most of the personalities in the group are pleasant and friendly. Not everyone has had my experience, but if you are a dedicated and hard worker willing to make some sacrifices, you will be accepted with open arms by senior management. They have a keen sense of who the producers are and who the laggards are.

      Cons

      In consulting you will work very long hours. It is a rarity that you will work less than 50 hr weeks. In fact, there will be times you will work over 70 hrs per week. In order to be an effective consultant, you have to have a passion for it.

      Frustrating place to work, but has some charms

      Pros

      Interesting work, important information customers rely on. Good work is generaly recognized.

      Cons

      Poor morale at this time. Very hard to get things done. Both IMS employees and customers can be frustrated regarding effort required to do even small things. Greedy senior leadership.
