Taunton/IRIS Hosting Team - Understaffing, Extreme Stress

My team was heavily understaffed. They send emails about mental health but no real action is taken to fix the problems. They do not listen when employees leave for stress or mental health related reasons, they say it is 'expected'. Management does not listen or do anything when employees have issues.

Thanks so much for taking the time to leave a review, although we’re disappointed by your comments. We know Covid-19 has led to unprecedented demands on employees in many organisations, and we have invested heavily in mental health support to help employees who may be struggling – from training more than 60 mental health first aiders across the organisation, funding free private healthcare with talking therapies for all staff, providing a dedicated Employee Assistance Programme and running two weekly Workplace Support Groups for employees to discuss and share their experiences on a range of mental health issues, and running training webinars on time management, delegation and resilience. We know that it’s also important that everyone has a manageable workload, and we currently have a hiring drive in many areas with almost 100 vacancies across the business, including Customer Support vacancies. We’re also implementing a new system to support a more efficient call workflow, encouraging focus time, regular breaks and daily check-ins to help everyone balance their time effectively.
