Company is a shambles, don’t value employees or customers

Pros

When they didn’t pay us on time they arranged a late same day payment, not really a pro but at least it got sorted.

Cons

Zero people strategy, grow by acquisition and turn good companies into organisations with burned out staff with unhappy customers. Place zero investment into product and service development.

Thanks so much for taking the time to leave a review, although we're surprised and disappointed by your comments. We're very proud of our acquisition strategy, which allows us to benefit from the fantastic products and services that come with our new companies and enhance the portfolio we offer to our customers to better meet their needs. We have now established robust processes to welcome, harmonise and enable effective collaboration with our acquired colleagues to provide them with greater opportunities for progression and development (and the many chance for us all to learn from the great things they do) and share in our fantastic benefits package, training courses, awards , wellbeing support, and the other initiatives across IRIS that make us a Great Place to Work. IRIS only buys successful organisations in order to continue to grow them so we can share and enhance their successes. We invest heavily in their continued development and empower their leaders to continue their growth with the financial backing of us as a larger organisation. We welcome these employees into the IRIS family and encourage them to share their feelings, ideas and suggestions through regular surveys (such as via our new Peakon tool) and act on the feedback and great ideas they provide. We know it's a time of significant transition as they integrate with the wider business, and a very small proportion of acquired employees just don't enjoy working for a larger organisation and prefer the feel of a smaller business. However, we're very proud of the many acquired employees who tell us they enjoy being part of IRIS and appreciate the opportunities, investment and support available to them and their organisation as part of the IRIS family. Regarding our products and services, we invest a significant amount year on year on developing our products and services so they can best meet the needs of our customers now and in the future. We have roadmaps for each product that plan the stages of growth based on the impact the enhancements would have on our customers and are regularly updated as technology and customer needs evolve. We wholeheartedly encourage employees to be innovative and bring their brilliant product and service ideas to life - for example, via our Made in IRIS CEO Awards, which offers funding for their proposal PLUS an annual prize of up to £50,000 for the idea which has the most impact each year. We also invest millions of pounds of our profits each year back into developing outstanding new products (such as IRIS Elements) to continue to develop us as a market leader of mission critical products and services. We know that the past 12 months have been very challenging for employees' mental health and we have extensive provisions in place to support our colleagues - funding mental health first aider training, running our weekly workplace support group and Wellbeing Teams channel with a variety of support and resources, offering company-funded private healthcare with fantastic mental health provisions, and free income protection and life insurance to give our employees a greater peace of mind to name a few. We know that happy employees and happy customers go hand in hand, which is why they are central to our overall company goals and why we were so proud to win Great Place to Work certification based on survey responses directly from employees across IRIS in the past couple of months. We will continue to build on this wonderful foundation to make IRIS the best it can be for our employees and customers. We're very sorry to hear that you wouldn't recommend IRIS and we would encourage you to reach out to our Chief People Officer, Stephanie.Kelly@iris.co.uk, so that we can help. We would like to wish you all the very best in your future career. Kind regards, the HR team

Pros

Employee recognition is good but what I really like is that the firm and its owners appear to have a solid strategy for growth and they deliver on it.

Cons

The method for integrating acquired firms leaves a lot of reliance on individuals to catch things that fall through the gaps. The process isn't robust.
